Smoke Bush
Cotinus is a deep coloured, bushy shrub commonly found in and around the UK. It is native to a large area from southern Europe, east across central Asia and the Himalayas to northern China. Its common name of 'Smoke Bush' stems from the wispy character of its flowers.
During lockdown, I spotted this gorgeous plant in many of the neighbouring streets on our daily walks and became so fascinated by the structure and colours that is is now a pattern in my new collection!
